I was struck by two things while watching "The Best of Late Night with
Jimmy Fallon":

1. How little of it was spontaneous, which doesn't bode well for the "talk"
part of "talk show".

2. How few of the pop culture references I got, even when I recognized what
they were satirizing. I'm now officially old, and it may be that Fallon
will resonate with a younger audience the same way Dave one did with me.
