I'm sure I wrote this near the end of Dave's Late Show, but I will repeat
it: there were two groups of people who worked on the Late Show. One group
was the staff who were employed by Worldwide Pants. That group includes
producers, including executive, segment, and line, writers and their
assistants, and support staff for the band. They all ceased working at the
end of Friday of the last week of the show.

The other group is the crew who are employed by CBS. That group includes
camera operators, lighting people, sound people, and stagehands. Unless
they resigned, retired, or asked CBS for reassignment, they will continue
on the new show. The last time I went to see the show live, the one with
Howard Stern and Don Rickles, the only crew member I saw was George Clarke,
the building engineer. I asked him if he was staying on for the new guy and
he said yes.
