It clearly was not taped Friday - lots of Lettermanesqye comments about what a great Friday crowd, no taco truck jokes, but did reference Trump's trip to Mexico. Stephen days at one point that the debates are upcoming and they talk about Trump's prep, but nothing about who will moderate, presumably they edited that out.
He mentioned it was episode 202 and end of Season 1. To circle back to the subject header, I don't expect any sudden cancelations, but I do feel like the show has not ripened as well as Wilmore's did.
