Up until this year late July and August were considered the slow time of the year. Congress is usually not in session and the DC people who news shows like as guests are out of town. It has been a good time to give staff and crew vacation time and NBC might well have made those plans before GOP leadership decided to keep Congress in session and the White House can't dial the circus down to a lower speed. -- -- TV or Not TV ....
