I have pretty much stopped watching on Fridays. I am not exactly angry, but I have been calling on them to be more transparent about this (I have emailed them a couple of times, no reply).
I don’t think it’s laziness; it takes a lot of time and energy to do those shows. Colbert wants time with the Fam in NJ, and he wants his staff to do that too. The show is so ultra topical that even a rerun from a month ago would feel dated.
