It could be what keeps the company from going under. I have no idea how the company is currently structured but there could be people in roles like acquiring sponsorships or selling ad time who have burned out. Being able to turn these responsibilities over to Sirius could be the best option.
I like craft beer and follow the industry. Before the pandemic there was a wave of buyouts of pioneering small breweries. As much as fans of a brewery would express a sense of betrayal, the founders would inevitably put out a statement talking about years of 16 hour days and twenty years of total commitment and how this was the best way for them to step aside without shutting down the business.
