Actually, Nagra2 (which, as you stated: is being used in Europe) has
been hacked. They use a card system. The cards are routinely
falsified, enabling reception of all the pay channels.
The Canadian satellites have been using Nagra1; they have already made
the switch to Nagra2. DirectTV uses a different encryption system.
Dish Network uses Nagra1, but is changing to Nagra2.

I believe it's Bell Expressview that uses Dish technology in Canada. I'm
told that Nagra..2 has been used in used in Europe for quite some time,
that it can not be easily hacked and that because of this the pirate
cards, and or systems will stop. But I "aint" no expert.
