I see from the previous posting that you have a Fortec Star Lifetime Classic NA. Is this the latest version of the receiver that has the AC3 output ? Should be the 2006 or later veersion. It should have a menu option for turning on the AC3 output. The Best Buy decoder should also have an input type selction button to switch to this type of input. Make sure both of those are set correctly. I don't think this receiver has a built in decoder. Some receivers have that option and will give normal sound thorugh the RCA cables or RF output.
