Thank you Bob, Bill, Jake, & David for helping to straighten me out. I hope I did not leave anyone out. Especially David, who examined my problem in great depth. I have learned a lot in just a couple days. I conclude that I do not have the proper equipment to receive DW-TV with sound. The Coship receiver died & went to landfill heaven, which is what got me here to begin with. I guess I was just lucky to have picked that model when I started DVB FTA some years ago. I foolishly assumed all receivers would have it's modest capabilities.
Jake, your suggestions are all good. I tried them to no avail. My current thinking is to return the Fortec receiver to Eman. They have been less than helpful with tech support. And return the Insignia amplifier to Best Buy. Hate that I bought these due to my own ignorance, but that's the way it goes. Bob receives DW-TV with sound via a Traxis. Bill gets it on a Pansat. I will look up the specs on these (& others) & buy an FTA receiver that decodes AC-3. Next week. Any additional comments are most welcomed. Richard
