Hi- Thanks for the heads-up. I have a couple of questions: Most importantly: when will this change happen?
I understand that we should not depend on the format of the ID, but since we currently do, can we get more exact information on the new format? Is there going to be a very large discontinuous jump at the switchover time? Which bits will be used for what? We currently depend on the ID for a variety of caching and storage schemes -- I'm ok changing, but I need to plan, and understand the exact ID format post change to figure out how much work I need to.
