I was not amid the experience personally but was regaled of
the debacle and inevitable death of a company due substantially
to the attempts to convert from Pick. The company's name was
Scandinavian Design, out of Massachusetts or some such area.
The source of this tale (one D S, actual name preserved to
protect his privacy) had told me of how they tried to convert
to IBM and the bloody disasters that occurred.
So, if there are any old Scandy people out there, you might
want to fill in the blanks.

Not belly up, but you can't leave Oxford Health Plans out.
Anecdote:
Million dollar bonus for transferring data from Universe to Oracle
tables if done over the weekend. Not happening fast enough. "Drop
the constraints". Bonus received. Tables full of garbage.
