I know its expensive to write a frontend to UniVerse as you need o purchase third party software like Pick .NET DP. So i thought i could be able to get the data to the SQL server and then use the SQL for the backend to the frontend (which will be written in VB .NET)
I have done an SQL frontend before and i would assume its easier than a UniVerse frontend.

There are a variety of ways to do this. The question is what do you want to
do exactly with the replicated Database, defines the best approach or even
away to avoid the replication.

I was just wondering if anyone can help me.
I am trying to replicate the data that i can on a UniVerse 10 database (Unix), into SQL database.
Can anyone tell me the steps i need to take to get this to work.
Do i need any third party software? Can it be setup to be live? so if the data is changed in the UniVerse database it will replicate to the SQL database automatically?
