If your UniVerse is on UNIX, you need to get ODBC drivers from a vendor such as 
DataDirect Technologies to talk to your SQL Server database, or your Oracle database, 
or whatever it is you're wanting to talk to.  If your UniVerse is on Windows, many 
ODBC drivers are already supplied.
