Hi Wendy -- The U2UG and related web site really are "us" (you, me,
u2-users, ...) even if we are still in a bit of a "quiet phase" with the
U2UG -- that should change soon.

David J is on the U2UG Board (had to have a token aussie, you know) and he
really can help make that forum happen. [The decision about the other
forums had to do with the board voting that we didn't want to do anything
that would detract from u2-users -- only things that would complement. It
was one of our more, uh, animated moments as a board who has never met in
person.]

So, when you think U2UG, think "we" not "they" -- with the board being those
of us who volunteered up front -- David J, Wol, Tom, Kevin, Will, David B,
Laura, Clif, Chuck, Brian, Dana, me, plus Janet Oswald from IBM (as
non-voting). We now have a finalized timeline for when we will replace
ourselves with a "real" elected board (earlier plans were to have done so by
now, but the pay is so good ...), with elections scheduled for the Fall.
Stay tuned.

Cheers! --dawn
