Gordon - Not all that "American only", there are articles of different name but many countries are undergoing the same torture, er, compliance ... and international companies that wish to do business with US companies may face these issues.
And Jim, lots of non-public companies are stepping up, too. Publicly traded companies may need (or least prefer) to do business with companies that are compliant. And believe it or not, after a more or less painful settling in period the procedures and demands of SOX can create a better more profitable company / department And Clif! Thanks so much for the plug about the SOX article in Spectrum. There's loads of information (and more coming) on my website, too (sjplus.com). The article in Spectrum doesn't really plug PRC (imagine that? Hey sometimes I can have some class!) ... so if I can just slide it in here (oops, that didn't last long, did it?) PRC is a tool/solution that can help you very quickly meet SOX compliance. When you can automate much of the process, all those steps and approvals ... and the documentation and audit trail is automatic ... and the tool gives you some support that you didn't have before to give you back some of that time... hey, its not so bad. Look me up. :) Susan Joslyn PRC - Realm software configuration management for U2 / Multivalue development. http://sjplus.com [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------- u2-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe please visit http://listserver.u2ug.org/
