I read somewhere that Oracle is a resource hog and Larry Ellison is Satan... I have seen universe based systems with near terabyte data stores and thousands of users maintain excellent OLTP response times. I've also been involved with relational (Informix & Sybase) to (and from) Universe conversions and in each case the Universe data store took up approximately 50% of the disk space and processor required for the relational system to support the same number of users.

Has anybody any data or case study in this direction to indicate the scalability features of universe and when or under what circumstances its advisable to migrate the application database to a bigger database like db2, or Oracle Thanks anmolck ------- u2-users mailing list [email protected] To unsubscribe please visit http://listserver.u2ug.org/ ------- u2-users mailing list [email protected] To unsubscribe please visit http://listserver.u2ug.org/ -- No virus found in this incoming message.
