It depends on the noise floor, most cpe’s according to the interface sit in the 90’s. At the sector it’s usually in the high 80’s to low 90’s.
So when we set people up and the return signal is in low to mid 70’s we tend to not want to install. So several times this has happened, we have just swapped the sector back to the AC 65degree panels and get to where we need to be in the mid 60’s. Which makes sense since your adding 10 dbi back to the link. So the question is, can you make a high gain version of the horns? Greatly reduced the noise floor by going to the 30deg which gave us higher SNR and more 8x rates. doing an ABC channel config until UB actually gets the GPS sync on the Prisms working. Total capacity on the tower now is over 2 GBps.
