Sorry, there isn't a good way to fully fix this until everything using libpeas is rebuilt and lands in resolute (release). rhythmbox in particular won't be able to migrate out of resolute-proposed until python3-defaults migrates.
https://transitions.ubuntu.com/html/auto-libpeas.html Usually, soname bumps don't require Breaks/Replaces. This is one of the few that do. :( I believe once Ubuntu sets up piuparts and connects it to their -proposed migration system, it would be able to prevent a mistake like this from migrating to release. ** Changed in: libpeas (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2141258 Title: package libpeas-1.0-1 failed to install/upgrade: trying to overwrite '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpeas-1.0/loaders/libpython3loader.so' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libpeas/+bug/2141258/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
