Thanks for testing, and sorry about that. Your report found two bugs in my tool, both fixed now:
1. "install" ran "dracut --regenerate-all", which tries to rebuild the initramfs for every installed kernel. One of yours (7.3.0-0.rc0...vanilla.fc44) has no boot directory any more, so dracut stopped. The tool now rebuilds only the running kernel. 2. "check" showed the wrong pad (GPP_D_19). Two pads use interrupt 108; the touchscreen one is GPP_E_18 on INTC105D:01. Fixed too. The important part worked: it found the faulty firmware code in your BIOS F.10 tables and built the corrected ones (26 tables, fix in entry 25), the same layout as on my F.20. Please update and run it again: cd /tmp/hp-omnibook-x-flip-16-linux-touchscreen-pen-fix git pull sudo ./tool/hp-touch-irq-fix install sudo reboot After the reboot: sudo hp-touch-irq-fix verify It should end with "RESULT: PASS", with an idle IRQ rate near 0. Then please try the pen and touch, and suspend/resume once. Posting the verify output here would help. dracut support has not been tested before, so you are the first. If verify says FAIL, or anything misbehaves, run "sudo hp-touch-irq-fix uninstall" and reboot to go back to stock, and post the output. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2142384 Title: ELAN2514:00 (04F3:4428) stylus report rate extremely low (~10–25 Hz) on Ubuntu 24.04 kernel 6.17 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2142384/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
