If you were running Ubuntu as installed out of the box (so to speak), I
would say to try uninstalling and then reinstalling Nautilus, but since you
installed the KDE Desktop (why not just install Kubuntu?), you might try
same with Konqueror, although I don't believe that it is as intertwined with
the system as Nautilus is with Gnome. The system's File Manager would be the
common thread though.
