The cautions on BSG:

Here are my cautions after the 1.5 plays I have had:

1) The brig can be dang nasty - although I appreciate its role in the
game being knocked out of the bulk of play can occur if people are
really working against you to keep you in the brig. Since you can
only donate ONE card to the check if the other players are working
against you your only hope is a real good draw from the Destiny deck.
I would compare being in the brig pretty much to being on the Quest
for the Holy Grail in SoC - plan on being there a while and not doing
a whole lot. This CAN be frustrating.

2) Although this game has by far the best traitor element I have
found in a game to date it is still difficult to play it right. You
can't be playing TOO far out of line or you will become obvious. This
is exaggerated depending on your character. There really isn't a
whole heck of a lot you can do as a Cylon pilot - after all if you
aren't shooting down the raiders to protect the ship you kind of stand
out like a sore thumb. Being the Cylon President or Admiral is by far
the better place to be. In our game on New Years day after I was
accused I did my best to put the blame back on Bob but he was doing
SIGNIFICANT things to help the cause so either I would have to do the
same or become even more obvious. So far I have not encountered a
traitor game that REALLY allows for the traitor to manipulate without
becoming obvious. This one just does the best so far.

3) There can be some down time. Your participation in the off rounds
will still be there (donating cards for checks) but - in the end -
that is still a repetitive participation. The bulk of it will be in
the arguments back and forth over who is the traitor.

4) Once you are revealed your turn isn't quite as fun - but to be
honest it still beats SoC.

There you go - my only cautions about the game so far.
