Afternoon list :) The vast majority of transit providers I come across handle billing with 95th% model, which is completely fine and I have no problem with. I far prefer it as a billing method, and currently we bill our clients the same way.
My problem is our customers don't get it, and we really struggle to explain it to them. It seems a lot of ISPs bill their users based on transfer (ie xTB per month), and users tend to understand that model more. Our sales team want to be able to offer this model instead, but I am struggling to come up with a model that allows me to productise this. So my question is, how do you handle the translation from 95th% to throughput billing? Thanks in advance for any advice! Simon
