I am able to compile with CentOS 5 no problem, as long as I select the correct GCC version.
GCC I think is the biggest issue, since it takes certain versions of GCC to compile certain versions, ect. I also had to reduce the kernel version to something less bleeding edge (2.6.24) as 2.6.26+ breaks some of our Intel nics. Since we're compiling so many packages I don't think there will ever be a fool proof method, but I think the current system works very well as it stands. Once you get it compiling, which isn't hard on a fresh Debian or CentOS box, it's really easy to recompile. -- Randy www.FastServ.com ---------- Original Message ----------- From: Nils Olav Fossum <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Werner Maes <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: "unattended-devel@lists.sourceforge.net" <unattended- [EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Fri, 10 Oct 2008 15:25:21 +0200 Subject: Re: The compile/build system.
