When someone finds the answer to this I would love to know! I completely understand your position, Judy. I have a few colleagues that I share this with, but it is difficult when more people aren't interested...

As I read Ellin's many questions in this chapter, I couldn't ignore the question that kept pestering me: How do those of us who choose to read To Understand, who believe in living the 'intellectually engaged life,' arouse the interest of our colleagues? With the exception of my teaching partner, I cannot imagine one person on my staff who will make it beyond Chapter 1 of this remarkable text. Here we sit, in this group, reading, nodding, pondering, devouring, discussing, delving, exploring, learning, wondering. But how do we bring this wisdom to others? How do we help adults want to lead intellectually engaged lives? Forgive me if you've already discussed my question, Judy _______________________________________________ Understand mailing list [email protected] http://literacyworkshop.org/mailman/listinfo/understand_literacyworkshop.org _______________________________________________ Understand mailing list [email protected] http://literacyworkshop.org/mailman/listinfo/understand_literacyworkshop.org
