The -50 refers to RV anti-freeze in case you don't know, usually pink in color. I have stopped using the RV stuff in the water tank as I have had a heck of a time flushing it out in the spring and the taste is not nice, I now just drain the water tank and hot water heater completely (which I can do on my boat) and run compressed air through all the water lines then disconnect the lines where they all come together by the water pump which is the low point in my boat. So far I haven't had a problem with freezing (in Vancouver) and the water tastes much better. The pink is fine in the head etc. but of course dosen't work for your engine and generator cooling systems.
