Hi,
Drain the fresh water sys, by pass the hot warter heater put in about 5-10 gal of -50 in youy water tanks and punp -50 thru the sys until red fluid comes out of all the faucet and shower. The -50 that goesw in your shower, pump it out and that will winterize your shower pump sys.You then have to pump -50 thru all the other salt warter systems such as the head, A/C systems, wash down pump sys, etc. Do not forget the windshild washer sys if you have one. Then of course you have the engins and generaor.
I would appreciate some comments on the proper way to winterize a
fresh, potable water system, storage tank, hot water tank, pump,
filter, lines etc. Last year I completely drained the tank and the
entire system. Another boat owner suggests filling the system up
completely. The boat is moored in the Pacific Northwest, freezing
temperatures are expected each year.
