are you sure it is acctually your tranis that are allarming? on my 42, when I first got it, the alarms would start to go off when I had been running hard and slowed down. My alarms still go off when I shift in and out of gear. the problem is the engine low oil pressure sender unit. I have 471's, and was told by my detroit mechanic that the engines have a real low oil pressure when they are hot and (old) and this causes the alarms to go off. He recomended dropping to a lower sender unit. cant remember, I think I went from 15 psi down to 9---- or 12 psi sender units. This stoped most of it , but it still chirps when I shift in and out gear. those alarms are tied together, oil, temp, trani oil and temp, oil pressure.
