I don't think I am going to grapple for it. It feels a lot like that
game you see in old school bowling alleys with the claw that you drop
down to catch stuffed toy of some sort. You have a 1:100 chance of
catching the thing. I do have a couple of friends that dive. Maybe I
will ask them to go take a look with me. Good idea.

Another thought, grappling for it would be just pure luck retrieving it
as the grapple will catch everything but what you want.

Do you have any friends that scuba dive or ask a dive shop if they know
anyone that would do it for you. You would have a lot better chance
finding it.

Kerry, I've read this thread so far and I can't help asking how you know
the line was cut? And if so, maybe the chain and anchor are still down
there. I understand that your windless isn't working, but since you are
the only one that knows the location maybe grappling for it (as someone
else suggested) is worth the effort. Just a thought.

Well...the anchor and chain are gone. 300ft of 3/8" chain and a 45#
anchor. Someone cut the line and took the fender. You guys called it.
Saturday night I was talking to a vessel assist guy and he said another
42ft Uniflite called in that they were taking on water. Anyone on this
list? Anyway, I am on the hunt for a new anchor. Should I stuck to
traditional CQR or go with a Delta or Rocna?
