Ran into a guy once at a Uniflite rendezvous who had his blister boat
regelcoated and I remember something like $200K cost. Yike. Squashed
the idea for me.

I have a 1973 which is original gelcoat and looks pretty good.
Repainting the blue trim really helped for small $$$. Once the gel
coat is buffed out I have only had to keep it waxed (no boathouse). I
use a high quality wax and do the flat upper surfaces 2X and the hull
once a year. If you let it go then you are in for a big job.

Hey? Why do you need a gym membership when you can "wax on, wax off"
for a few hours a month.
