Kevin,

The $200K job I saw was on an early 80's vintage 42' blister boat and
was to remove all hardware, grind off all old gel coat and re apply
gelcoat to the entire boat. I don't know of many people who would
choose that route over painting today. That's a real number. And the
guy knew it was uneconomical but he wanted it done.

It was beautiful which is why we all asked him what wax he
used.............. and got the true reason for the finish.

Me, I'd repaint my boat.
