Bob that depends. What is the break point for the breaker compared the fuse that it came with? If you can wire it into a breaker that is the same voltage as your fuse is rated at, you don't need the inline fuse.

I have given up on the set up. My question is. do I need an in line fuse when it is wired thru the dc panel with a separate breaker. If I can hard wire it in I will, otherwise I will get a traditional fuse holder to replace it.
