Oliver, Where did you get that weight spec for the 31' express? I think it is accurate but the only printed weight I ever saw for the 31' was 10,000#, and I know my boat is much closer to 14,000#.
Have any of you had any topside fiberglass problems? The small piece of fiberglass between the two front windows of my lower helm cracked across and completely through. I am worried now that the windows might actually come out and shatter on the cockpit floor. I don't think it was particularly rough water (happened on a river) and I top out at 30 knots (cruise at 20) so I didn't overdo it. Does fiberglass lose some integrity as it ages? This particular strip is small and thin, so I am not too worried about it, and I will just repair the crack with some reinforcing. Has anyone else experienced this?
