Tom,

great pictures, I had not seen your album before. love the " plasteak " swim
platform, ive been wanting to replace the rub rail on my columbia sailboat with
some " plastic " lumber but had not chosen a specific brand yet, the color and
look of yours is exactly what im looking for, tell me more about it and where I
can order some..
you did a great job, still collecting parts for the mega, got a SAE 3 bell
housing to adapt the cummins to a hurth today, but am working on making a
commercially available adapter to simply bolt a hurth / velvet drive to a
cummins dodge transmission adapter. waiting for a friend to finish the cad
drawing and off to the phillipines for production as my brother lives there.
I would go for a three axle trailer as well, two would be borderline. since you
are into tinkering I thought you might enjoy the pics of my sailboat project as
well... things are still on track, departure for my next two year sailing trip
is spring / summer of next year...
here is the link.

There are some pics of my 31' express on a trailer here:

I bought a triple axle and moved the bunks out as far as I could. I
would get a triple axle and not a double, but that's up to you. Eric
on this site has a 27' with a double and he has no problems. I am all
about projects but I didn't hesitate to buy a trailer instead of
building one-I have spent enough time on the boat itself. If I
understand your info request, I don't have a keel support. There are
two bunks towards the bow that I didn't have to mess with that are
closer together (the keel goes between them), and the bulk of the
weight is on the main bunks of course. I did have to cut about 18"
off of the bunks because they were too long. The props are behind the
  bunks, not between.

The trailer is a magic tilt I believe and it is a perfect fit. It's
nice to have your boat in your backyard.

If you want any specific measurements I can try to help you out.
