Tom, it sounds like you have a great boat now, cruising at 20 knots at 12 gph is really good and having the peace of mind is priceless... the bottom line is that you now have a boat that is the way you want it and is what you see as the perfect boat for you and you have the satisfaction of knowing you made this boat, anyone can simply spend the money and buy a boat, few people have the knowledge to undertake a major redo...
