I'm getting ready to fabricate a new door for my 42 aft cabin using fiberglass. Will probably have some kind of glass or porthole or portlight. Will let you know about that.
Not sure what plastic wood is but there are a lot of folks using Starboard for everything and anything. It's great for making cutting board but don't use it for much else. I've also made molds for the baffles that go behind engine air intakes on the hull sides of 42 sport fisher, convertibles, aft cabins and kingfishers, and Chris Craft 426.
