Bob I am formulating a plan that is a middle ground. I am looking at a tinted Lexan panel custom cut at Tap Plastics down in Tacoma. Not too bad price wise. But I want SOME wood, so I am looking at some synthetic lumber from PlasTeak to trim it out and to mount hardware too. I should be able to build the whole door just fine myself with nothing more than a screwdriver, mitre saw and a drill. I'll send a link to pictures once I get it done.
