I have had good luck with the Magnum unit that I put on my boat. I bought it
primarily to get a larger battery charger and I did not need a large inverter
so mine has a smaller inverter. It has performed well now for 6 years or so.
Magnum is local, just south of Everett. Their support people have been good to
work with. They have various sizes of systems, including sine wave units. I
would certainly look to them if I were looking into an inverter system. Hal

OK, so y'all convinced me to go with a 3Kw Inverter. Probably going with a MSW
design. The refrig draws 16a (1920w) peak and 12a (1440w) normal. West Marine
has several made by Magnum and KISAE. Also came across some by Newmar and
Xantrex. Other than Newmar, I've never heard of any of these companies. Any
suggestions out there? It'll probably be a built-in model and also considering
an Inverter/Charger combo. Found a few less than $1000, not including
installation.
