I had a 2 KW Heart inverter on my 42 AC when I bought it in 2002. It died in Petersburg AK and no one there could repair it so I ordered a Xantrex replacement. After two new 2 KW Xantrex units failed the company sent me a 3 KW unit because they were "more robust". I completely rewired the 120V system to isolate the inverter because they told me that feedback from the boat system could have been the reason the first two units failed. I have to say that their customer service people were great, but if I had to do it over again I would buy a Magnum. Everyone I talked to after I returned to the lower 48 said that since the Xantrex units started being built in China their reliability has gone out the window. As other people here have stated the Magnum is built in Washington State by people who left Xantrex when they started getting their units from China. ____________________________________________________________ Old School Yearbook Pics View Class Yearbooks Online Free.
