Wilma,
I think it is important for responsible members of our public list to
support each other when the barking cheese gang comes back. to attack the
responsible people sharing their views publicly.
Siano and the others not only call us names. Regularly, several of those
"fed-up" with "incivility" publicly posted wishes for my death as well as
the death of other dissenters on this list. When a man was murdered at 49th
and Locust, the supposed founder of barfing cheese, Cassidy, as well as
Siano and other barkers took a perverse pleasure about this murder on this
public list, and were confronted by some of the very people banned from the
censored list. As has been pointed out, those of us that are banned never
came close to the type of mean and outrageous posting by the cheeseheads
even though subjected to ganging up and attempts to silence their arguments
with fallacious arguments.
As barking cheese is set up for future astroturfing, these bullies will
continue to harrass the good folks here who express their honest feelings
publicly. If more of the gang comes after you on the public list, just
ignore them. Decent and responsible citizens understand real civility and
have seen this unfold on our public list and have the historical record.
The cheesheads have been exposed and their barking cheese list is a symbol
of how foolish they look when they try to stand against citizens publicly.
These goofballs forget that this list makes a public record.
Their wishes for the deaths of others, the calls for a "death ray" and the
calls for banning individuals over the years are recorded. If Siano is so
fed-up, why doesn't he go back to barfing cheese and wish for people's
deaths and make fun of murdered people with the others!
These tactics work in their closed elite societies but the cheeseheads can't
bully with impunity here any longer.
Take care and power to the people,
Glenn

My point is those who originally formed the UCNeighbors listserv did so
because they did not want to hear arguments from people who continually
disagreed with their view of how this community should evolve and wanted
a means to block and censure those they deemed unwanted/unfit for their
new listserv, which in and of itself is a form of hostility. It seems to
suggest that some of us neighbors are superior to others.
Wilma. I don't know of anyone who is "gung ho" about any such initiatives.
Many of us see good and bad in such things. And because we do this, it's
_we_ who are labelled as appeasers, cowards, suckups, and racists because
we don't simply yell "Penn sucks!" and denounce it all as evil gentrifying
corporate malevolence.
