Dear Brian,

You may be right that I have it backwards. Who knows?

I really do not want to get into any hassles as to why you or anyone else
wanted to form another listserv. You certainly have that right.

My opinion was that it appeared to me the rationale was to distance
yourselves from a certain shall we say, "element" on this listserv that
disagreed with those who formed the new listserv.

You graciously informed me that I too was included amongst the unwanted
discourse as to how the neighborhood was developing, which I took to be not
exactly inviting and I may have misinterpreted that as a bit hostile.

Listservs are formed every day. What distinguishes this instance from
others at least for me, are the insidious, nose-tweaking, we're-SO glad-we
got-away-from-you, variety of posts I have seen.

Things have been all right here. There's the occasional untoward post but
by and large we have been able to discuss things here and even disagree.

I am happy for you that you have found your type of discussion with the
right type of people on the new listserv. As your neighbor, I wish you many
happy discussions over there and no ill will.

I'll be here whenever you want to discuss something with me. Off to gym.

Regards,

Wilma

PS Make haste on your mice issue, because the massive invasion season is at
hand and trust me, you DON'T want that. Exterminator business for mice
shoots up about 60% during the autumn.
