Dancers ages 13-18 are invited to audition for Dancefusion’s /fusion2/
junior dance company on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009 at 4:30pm at the
Gwendolyn Bye Dance Center, 3611 Lancaster Ave.
Located in the heart of University City, Dancefusion’s /fusion2/ is a
pre-professional training company for young dancers that reaches out to
the community through workshops and performances. fusion2 has performed
at area theaters and community centers including the Mann Center for
Performing Arts and Painted Bride Art Center.
Dancers should have at lease three years of prior training and currently
study at the intermediate or advanced levels for Ballet, Modern and/or
Jazz Dance, be willing to make a time commitment for performances &
rehearsal (typically a minimum of 4 public performances yearly and
additional outreach performances between September 2009 and June 2010),
and be willing to take a minimum of 5 dance technique classes per week
at the Gwendolyn Bye Dance Center.
Please wear dark solid-color leotards and pink tights. Be prepared with
ballet slippers, pointe shoes (if studying pointe), jazz shoes and/or
sneakers. Audition will consist of a ballet barre, as well as ballet,
modern and jazz combinations. Dancers should arrive no later than 4pm.
