I followed your advice of completey removing the presence of
any plugin files. Granted, they don't show up in the web interface
anymore but I can't see any decrease in memory usage. Beware that my
music collection is 600+ CDs and the sqlite db file is almost 11MB in
size. slimserver reports 17MB in "top" for resident size.
I am afraid slimserver keeps its complete database in memory?
No - it doesn't. It accesses the database only when you tell it to.
SlimServer isn't bloated, but it's not exactly small either. It was never
meant to run on an embedded system like the NLSU2.
At this moment, we're willing to trade the larger size for rapid development
time. Can I ask why you chose the NLSU2 to run SlimServer on? Why not a
quietPC that can handle the software without any concerns?
