If you have a working computer, I'd strongly advise you to start off using that to run slimserver, rather than a Kurobox. If you need more storage, either for your primary music library or backups, go ahead and get a Kurobox for the extra storage, but run slimserver on the computer. Then, after you've gotten used to slimserver and read up a bit more in the forums and such, you can try installing slimserver on the KB, comfortable in the knowledge that if it doesn't work for you (or it's just too much headache for you), that you can fall back to slimserver on the computer.
