That's why I pretty much require a home router that's supported by DD-WRT--at least I know it's maintained and updated. Stock firmware tends to be bad even when it's current, and it's pretty universally badly maintained (not just Belkin--Linksys and Buffalo are bad too in my experience). It may be my imagination, but my home network seems faster already!
