VMs tend to be much more stable (=more useful) than even as recently as
a year ago.  A lot of competition in that technology area (VMware,
Microsoft, Xen, etc.) has meant good things for us end users.  My guess
is that within a couple of years the CPU manufacturers will have VMs
running in the hardware/firmware you get when you buy a
computer/motherboard.  Can't address your RAID0 question, but I'd
suggest asking on the VMware and Xen fora...if the disk channels are
defined at the base VM level and not in the OS, could be it's not a
problem at all.

If you go this route, please post your findings!!!
