Don't use RAID0 - use RAID1. If you're using hardware RAID then both Windows and Linux should be able to boot from them. However, if you make sure you get the right chip (most Core Duos are OK) then you can run Linux and xen and run Windows virtually. I'm seriously considering upgrading one of my machines to a Core Duo setup *just* so I can run Windows instances. I currently have a P4 server running several Xen guest instances and have another machine *just* to run Windows (my "main" machine is a P4 laptop running FC6).
