Also I have two 36 GB WD Raptors. They are very fast, but they're too small for installing an OS on these days. So I might as well use them. I'd like to continue to use them until one of the drives dies or my OS fills up the 72 GB. When this happens, I'll probably get a fast drive for the OS but I may not go back to RAID 0. As I said, it's fast, but it doesn't make much difference for everyday use. In terms of hardware reliability, yes, I'm aware that RAID 0 increases my risk of data loss because now I'm depending on both drives. However as it turned out the drives lasted longer than the motherboard did. -- Mark Lanctot ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mark Lanctot's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2071 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=34505 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
