The software is in use by hundreds, maybe thousands of people - even though
it is still in beta.  You may be running into a problem with the RPM build
or some other system-specific issue.  It could be a bug in the upgrade
script (if one exists in the RPM).  It could be some sort of permission
problem that you long ago fixed for the old SlimServer product but did not
fix for the newly renamed SqueezeCenter.  The Linux builds do not do as much
hand-holding on install/upgrade as the Windows and MacOSX ones so it is up
to you to get ahold of the logs, etc.   Also, I would suggest that the RPM
builds are the least-used of the Linux builds simply because 7.0 is the
first release with an official yum repos, that I'm aware of.  I'm sure any
reports of problems would receive a warm reception from those maintaining
the RPM builds.
