Thank you for the response. I have painstakingly gotten Inguz to work on
my Linux server and may look at your Brutefir program. It may be an 
improvement so I'll give it a try. It also seems that there may be more
flexibilty with brutefir also. I have been contemplating a brutefir
based crossover which I would put after the squeezebox although I know
that Inguz has looked at a  crossover using multiple squeezeboxes to
cover the additional channels but he was not able to get multiple
squeezeeboxes synchronized so I am not sure how to do it

There are some commercial programs such as Acourate that can generate
filters for Brutefir that could be used to create filters.
