Ive had a chance to try this out today, and it is working well!

In a quick test brutefir can run with about 10% of the cpu load as the
Inguz filter, which makes it a significant upgrade for me. For any
Inguz users wanting to try this out, you can convert your existing DRC
filters using:
sox -t wav inguz-filter.wav -t raw -c 1 brutefir-filter-r.pcm mixer -r
sox -t wav inguz-filter.wav -t raw -c 1 brutefir-filter-l.pcm mixer -l
(brutefir needs the left and right filters in separate files)

It sounds like I have an issue my RC filters causing output clipping. I
see brutefir has an option to log peaks to stderr, but Ive not found
where stderr gets logged. Any ideas?

Do you want to receive patches for the plugin, and, if so, how? I have
some simple fixes ready to send, and Im sure these wont be my last.

Ive spent a little time looking at the gapless issue too, and this
definitely looks fixable. I am pretty sure the gap is due to brutefir
dropping the reverberation tail once it reaches the end of input, so we
can fix this with a wrapper process which appends a little silence to
the brutefir input, then removes the same amount from the end of its
output and mixes it into the start of the output of a subsequent run.
Maybe next weekend....
